What invention or discovery led to most other inventions or breakthroughs?

You are thinking, what?
You are sent back in time to prehistory, weird things and flashing lights happen around you, lucky you! There aren’t any computers or even calculators! People are however doing things.
I introduce to you the first abacus, see above!
You can put a stone between the ribs and count to extraordinary high numbers!
Someone did this (total genius) and then people exploited it, proper science in the stone age!
This is so outrageously good: a calendar, numeracy and accountancy, to big numbers. No written language required!
This is called bird-man, a watershed! You can count the marks of days in the year on the background, they are confirmed upon the entwined snakes!
Upwardly mobile stone-age humans going places! They populated Europe with their new strategy: agriculture!
